Music. It's an important part of almost everyone's lives. Music speaks to us and some songs hit directly to home. Not only do they hit home, but they are a great way to describe ourselves and they can show how we feel, and just how we relate to every day issues. I myself have composed a playlist of 5 songs that I enjoy and relate to, and I'd love to share them with you.
My Playlist: Undefeated by KB feat. Derek Minor
Messengers by Lecrae feat. for King and Country
We Rode In Trucks by Luke Bryan
Knee Deep by Zac Brown Band feat. Jimmy Buffett
I Hold On by Dierks Bentley
All these songs listed have been personal favorites of mine over the last few years mostly due to the fact at how I relate to them and really enjoy the message they send. They are important because they show who I am and what I stand for. The first two listed are Undefeated and Messengers. These songs are written and performed by Christian hip hop artists KB, Derek Minor, Lecrae, and for King and Country. I'm sure most of you have never heard of Christian hip hop, or rap artists, right? Well it's quite interesting. These two songs proclaim the Glory of God and the artists show their love for Jesus Christ. I, myself am a believer and these songs are great reminders for what Christians should stand for and the job we should have in our lives. Jesus Christ is my savior and these songs hit close to home and are a great way to show what I believe and what I stand for. I've really gotten into these songs over the past year and look forward to what these artists will continue to sing and put out.
The next three songs are all country songs that really speak to me in a way of where I come from and how I act. Yes, these three songs are all country songs and it helps show that country is my favorite genre of music. We Rode In Trucks talks about growing up in the country and describes the type of person Luke Bryan and his friends were. While this song talks about Georgia and things about farms, I still think it's a great comparison to Wisconsin, and I truly relate to things he sings about. In the song I Hold On, by Dierks Bentley, he talks about the type of man he is, the strength he has, and how he's not going to change. This really spoke to me as I know that I myself won't change and shows the things I have to lean on. The last song Knee Deep is a funny song about getting away from things going on in the world and just relaxing or being happy. I often will do this to take a break from the world and just reminding myself to be happy.
Based on my playlists people can draw many conclusions. One is that I'm most likely a devote Christian. This is true, and I'm happy to share more about my faith and what God has done in my life. Another conclusion is that I'm a big country fan, which is also true. I've grown up listening to country and I've always enjoyed how the songs tell stories that we can all relate to. Country has always been a genre I connect too and is the best at describing me. While these songs are a great way to know a lot about who I am, music doesn't tell the whole story. The more time you spend with me, the better you'll know me which is true about everyone.
So, in conclusion, this playlist is a great way to know the songs I enjoy and how to know a lot about me. Based on the country songs, it shows the character that I have and some of things I relate to growing up. However, the Christian songs show my faith and my connection with God, or something bigger, and when it comes down to it, that's the most important thing to know about me. With these songs about Jesus, it shows His love for me and the greater picture of the world. Music is great, and I hope you take into consideration checking into my playlist.

First off, I like your selection of music, very unique. I like Lecrae myself. I think you did a good job talking about how music hits home and can describe people in many different ways. Keep up the good work!
